The Chevy Silverado 2500 remains one of the most powerful commercial trucks available to you. With a new year comes only a few minor changes; everything else stays the same. However, that is a good thing, as you can expect the same high horsepower and torque you deserve from Chevy. See what's different and what stays unchanged right here.

What's Different?

Chevy makes a few changes to the 2026 Chevy Silverado 2500. New is the Polar White Tricoat exterior finish, which replaces the outgoing Iridescent Pearl. Also new are the Bright Finish 20-inch aluminum wheels, which replace the previous 20-inch wheels.

Highlights That Remain Unchanged

Everything else about the Silverado 2500 stays the same. Expect at least 470 horsepower and 975 pound-feet of torque from the available Duramax diesel 6.6-liter V8. The minimum amount you can tow is 17,400 pounds, with some ratings exceeding 24,000 pounds. Higher trims of the heavy-duty Silverado also become quite plush, featuring sophisticated materials and luxurious elements and features. A large 13.4-inch touchscreen is standard on the LT trim and most trims above it.

With so much to offer, the new Chevrolet Silverado 2500 remains a solid pick for anyone who needs commercial capability. Whether you have a job you need a workhorse for, or you just love the feel of having real power at your fingertips, this truck is for you.
